U.S. Open Tickets will go on sale in March for USGA Members.
Starting on March 1, 2013 tickets for the 2014 U.S. Open Championships to be held at Pinehurst No. 2 Course will go on sale to United States Golf Association (USGA) members. General spectator tickets will not go on sale until June 6th. For information on USGA annual membership as well as ticket purchases go to www.usga.org. Demand for tickets is expected to be very strong again in 2014. During the last U.S. Open Championship held at Pinehurst (2005) the total attendance of over 325,000 for the week set a USGA record. Ticket prices and packages have not been announced yet, but will be available at this website in the near future.
Volunteer opportunities are still available for 2014.
With the unique challenge of hosting two Open Championships, over a two week period, the USGA requires over 7000 volunteers to assure the event runs as smoothly as past events in the NC Sandhills. To address the issue they created unique volunteer options to allow flexibility and assure adequate coverage for both Opens. As of early February 2013 over 75% of the volunteer positions have been filled, so those still interested should act quickly to sign up.
