Mike Floyd, who was a lifelong Floridian, moved to the Sandhills in 2001 where he became the Executive Director of the Sandhills Golf Association. Currently Mike is the General Manager & Head Golf Professional at Seven Lakes Country Club. Mike has managed several other courses in the area and said he is happy to be at Seven Lakes now. “We have the very best members in the area who do so much to support the Club. There is a very good reason why Seven Lakes Country Club won the National Golf Course Owners Association, Sandhills Chapter, Course of the Year for 3 years in a row - 2010, 2011, 2012 - and we invite all golfers to come see what we have to offer”.
Mike grew up in North Miami and attended Miami Dade Junior College. He started his professional golf career at Walt Disney World in 1976 and after 25 years of service ended up as the Head Golf Professional of Disney’s 99 Holes of Golf before moving to North Carolina. His favorite golf experience was playing with Payne Stewart when they both were on the mini-tours in Central Florida.
Mike has been married for 35 years to Cindy and they have two children, Craig, who is the Assistant Superintendent at Little River Resort, and Sarah, a Registered Nurse at FirstHealth Hospital. They enjoy spending time with their granddaughter Callie.
