CVB Wins Readers’ Choice Award - Noted "Best of the
Best" by ConventionSouth Readers
SOUTHERN PINES, NC – JANUARY 18, 2005 –
The Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area Convention &
Visitors Bureau has been recognized by the readers of ConventionSouth
as the "Best of the Best" in the magazine’s Readers’ Choice
Awards.
"The Readers’ Choice Award is an honor because it’s an acknowledgement that our efforts and assistance are recognized and appreciated by meeting planners," said Beverly Stewart, Director of Sales for the Convention & Visitors Bureau. "Our CVB is dedicated to attracting and assisting meeting planners who might be interested in bringing a variety of groups to our area. We provide prompt and extensive services from a central contact for accommodations proposals to site inspections for planners, even supplying welcome packets for attendees or helping promote their event."
In 2004, per ConventionSouth, the magazine asked their 16,000 readers to "nominate those convention and visitors bureaus (CVBs), convention centers, hotels, resorts and other sites they feel display exemplary creativity and professionalism for ConventionSouth’s inaugural Readers’ Choice Awards." The magazine’s readers are meeting planners who plan events such as meetings, conventions and seminars in the South.
"We’re here to help make the meeting planner’s job easier and to assist in insuring their event is as successful as possible," Stewart added. "This ‘Best of the Best’ recognition helps us know we’re doing something right."
