Seagrove Celebration of Spring

2021 Pottery Tour

The Seagrove Potters 13th Annual Celebration of Spring Pottery Tour and Spring Kiln Openings takes place April 16-18, 2021. This is a great opportunity to meet the potters, visit their studios and decide what interesting and memorable pieces you wish to add to your collection.

The self-guided tour through the Seagrove area happens daily from 10 am – 5 pm and gives visitors a chance to explore the Pottery Capital of the United States. The public is invited to start their tour at the Luck Cannery at 798 NC-705 in Seagrove. A welcome tent will be staffed with volunteers to answer any questions and share a printed pottery map offering a guide to the dozens of shops and studios in the area.

Spring has always been a time for renewal and awakening in Seagrove, and in 2021, a record number of shops will be opening their doors to celebrate the season. Participating potters will offer newly handcrafted pottery and ceramic art. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to meet the artists and experience kiln openings and pottery-making first hand with some potters staging demonstrations, hands-on activities, food and music.

This year, the event is giving away three gift certificates, each for $50.00. They can be used at your favorite participating Seagrove shop. Pick up a card at your first pottery, then get it stamped at six different potteries. After six stamps, leave your card at one of the shops, or mail it back by May 15, 2021. Qualifying cards will be entered in a drawing which will take place the weekend of May 22.

This is a great opportunity to meet the potters, see their works and appreciate their skill!
