Each year, the North Carolina Golf Panel ranks the Top 100 golf courses in the state. This year, the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen area has 15 of those courses ranked among the Top 100. The panel also annually includes rankings for the Top 50 Courses You Can Play, regional rankings and best green complexes, among others. In 2020, the N.C. Golf Panel determined regional rankings for a new category – Best Bang for the Buck. These are hidden gems you can play very affordably and really should be considered when planning a golf excursion to North Carolina. In Moore County, these courses include: Southern Pines Golf Club, Legacy Golf Links, Hyland Golf Club and Longleaf Golf & Family Club.
