While Coronavirus (COVID-19) is at the forefront of our mind these days, medical experts say getting out and enjoying the warmth and observing social distancing is good. You can also play golf! Here’s how to do it safely. Thanks to Pinehurst CC for allowing us to play The Cradle to demonstrate!

All our golf courses are open and below is some information on the steps they are taking to keep their guests and members safe. The situation is changing rapidly so please call the golf course if you have a Tee Time booked to confirm their particular status.

7 Lakes Golf Club

We are open.

We have put our food and beverage operation on hold. At this time, we will run a beverage cart to try to accommodate the basic needs of our guests.

Beacon Ridge Golf & Country Club

We are open 8:00 am-6:00 pm.

Please help us be a touch less golf experience.

We’ve removed the rakes and water coolers, please leave the flag in.

Sand bottles are placed in the golf carts. Please help us fill your and another divot as you play. Please be assured that we sanitize the sand bottles after each round.

Country Club of Whispering Pines

We are open. However, the clubhouse is closed, with the exception of bathrooms.

We are encouraging everyone to call and pay over the phone. Our number is 910-949-3000 for golf reservations and food orders.

We are taking the following steps:

  • Each golf cart will be sprayed with disinfectant following each round prior to being cleaned. We will spray all touch points including; steering wheels, cupholders, cubbies, coolers, sand buckets, sand scoops, and bag straps.
  • We have increased the frequency of cleaning/disinfecting other high touch points around the clubhouse’s such as countertops, credit card swipers, pens, door handles, etc. The Golf Shop will be closed with exception of the restrooms.
  • We ask that if you are playing golf that you call the golf shop at 910-949-3000 and prepay for your round with Credit Card.
  • If you have any merchandise or Food & Beverage needs please let the Golf Shop know when you make your reservation.
  • Our staff has been instructed to wash their hands and/or use hand sanitizer often. We have also instructed our staff to practice social distancing and avoid crowded areas.
  • We have removed all rakes and water coolers from all golf courses.
  • Starting today and continuing until further notice, we will have a local rule in place allowing players to utilize preferred lies in any bunker.
  • All rental club sales will be suspended.

The Ellis Maples Bar & Grill is closed. We will have take out available from 11-7PM Tuesday- Saturday.

Yes, we are open. However, we are a private club.

We are taking the following steps:

  • Sanitizing everything.
  • Beginning 3/21/20 unless players live in same household, only 1 player allowed per cart.

F&B available for take-out for members only.

Clubhouse is under renovation so we are operating out of a temporary clubhouse.

Yes, we are open.

We are taking the following steps:

  • Sanitizing counters and all interior sections of the clubhouse
  • Sanitizing golf carts, gloves being worn by staff
  • Sterilizing anything touched by staff or golfers (counters, pens, door handles, etc).

You may order food at the counter and take it back to golf carts. There is also a F&B cart making rounds on the course.

Legacy Golf Links

Yes, we are open.

We are taking the following steps:

  • Asking golfers to leave flag sticks in and not touch them and pick up putts that are close the hole
  • Inserting foam inserts into the golf hole so the ball will not go down so far once it goes in
  • Covered ball washers and pulled bunker rakes
  • Eliminated water coolers on the course
  • Spacing carts further apart and not accepting as many tee times as normal

We are also going to be reducing staff to reduce person to person contact in as many areas as possible.  We are doing our best to clean carts and clubhouse areas more frequently.  Staff is wearing gloves.

Yes, we are open, but the clubhouse is closed.

We are taking the following precautions:

  • Upside down cups
  • No rakes
  • Hand sanitizers everywhere
  • Signs reminding people to wash their hands
  • Wiping things down constantly
  • Propping doors open so you don’t have to touch them

The restaurant is closed, but we are selling soft drinks and snacks from the pro shop.

  • No coolers on the course – handing out cups of water to individuals who ask.
  • We’ve added a pool noodle to the bottom of the cup to eliminate touch points.
  • We encourage you to leave the pin in and the rakes have been taken out of the bunkers.

  • Anything “touchable” has been removed from courses (no rakes, water coolers or ball washers)
  • No touching of flag sticks.

  • Club Cart Towels are no longer in service…
  • Most Sand Bottles will be removed from service, with those on Club Carts disinfected after use…please use the “Sand Bins” to fill your Sand Bottle…
  • Do not use the Handicap posting stations, post from home or on the App…
  • Please know that Range Balls are cleaned after the range is picked and additional disinfection of the Range Baskets has been initiated…
  • While on the course, please use common sense…do not use the Ball Washers, use your club or foot to rake-out the Bunkers and not the Bunker Rake, one does not need to tend the Flag, etc…
  • On the Practice facilities, we have removed the Alignment Rods, Wash Buckets and request Members to use their OWN Range Basket or Bag when dispensing Balls…
  • Many folks continue to ride in single carts, and we encourage this practice…
  • Devices have been placed in the cup to stop the ball from entering the cup…

However, we will operate as a cashless facility.

The clubhouse is open but we are limiting the number of people inside to maintain social distancing.

We are taking the following precautions:

  • All Tobacco Road staff will wear face coverings in the clubhouse and when social distance of six (6 feet) cannot be maintained with other staff, patrons, or guests.
  • Face coverings for patrons and guests are required in the clubhouse and outside areas where social distance of six (6 feet) cannot be maintained.
  • Tobacco Road has also implemented Social Distancing protocols in common areas. We ask that all guests abide by Social Distancing measures and respect markings and signage in common areas on property.
  • The Snack Bar is open and will be serving our traditional menu of deli sandwiches, BBQ, hot dogs, and other snacks.
  • Private coolers are not allowed. All golf cars will be equipped with a sanitized cooler for your round.
  • Please bring any sanitizing solutions you might require during your visit to Tobacco Road.
