North Carolina common peach varieties include Biscoe, Candor, Carolina Belle, Derby and Norman. In a tribute to the popular and juicy fruit, the town of Candor (Peach Capital of North Carolina) stages an annual Peach Festival and in 2023 will celebrate its 25^th anniversary.

This year, the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen CVB will expand upon the annual Peach Festival to create Peach Week, July 13-22.
