Farmers Day 5K Course 2023
The 2023 5K Course starts and finishes near Stellar Scoops Ice Cream at 305 Branson Circle in Robbins, NC. This is near the Robbins Fire Rescue Building.
Runners and walkers start together and head down Branson Circle to a right turn on Salisbury St. Go thru one intersection and at the top of the hill turn right on Waterplant Rd. (All major turns will be marked on race day with arrows). At the bottom of the hill after crossing the rr track turn left on the gravel road. This will take you out to the Robbins Reservoir. You will cross a concrete spillway at 0.75 miles. A water station will be just past it. (This same water station will be passed again as you return on The Cabin Creek Trail at 2.20 miles).
Following the gravel road to the reservoir take a right turn after crossing the rr track. Mile 1.0 is at the top of the hill after entering the woods on the reservoir loop.
On the back side of the reservoir you will leave the road at the Hole 18 sign and head into the Cabin Creek Trail. It is currently marked with orange flagging. There will be approximately 0.9 miles of singletrack trail until you come back out under the trestle and turn right at the water station to head back up the gravel road to the finish. Mile 2.0 is along the trail and will be marked on race day.
Continue up the gravel road from the water station until you get past the fence at the old water plant. Turn left, then immediately right at the large map kiosk. This is the School Connector Trail and is also marked with orange flagging. Follow the flagged trail until you cross Fousher St. then take the Fire/Rescue Trail back to the finish line. Mile 3.0 is just below the Fire Station.
Bottled water and emergency assistance will be available at the midway point of the trail
