FOURTH OF JULY FESTIVITIES

Fourth of July holiday celebrations return with a bang this year and we are looking forward to several opportunities to view spectacular fireworks displays in Moore County in the coming days.

Fireworks

In Pinehurst, Fourthfest returns on Saturday, July 3rd. The day kicks off with the Patriotic Pet Parade at 9:45 am, followed by a traditional parade featuring classic cars, fire trucks and other decorated vehicles. Later that evening starting at 6 pm, head over to the Harness Track for a concert featuring music from Night Years. Gates for the concert will open at 4 pm. The Village of Pinehurst fireworks display will take place at 9:15 pm and can be seen above the Pinehurst Resort No. 1 Course.

Also, on July 3rd, check out the holiday parade in Carthage. The procession starts at 11 am.

Fireworks

On July 4th, be sure to make plans to head to Aberdeen for a major fireworks display at Aberdeen Lake Park. The event will be held from 6-10 pm and will include food vendors and live entertainment. The town asks attendees to leave pets and alcohol at home, but bringing blankets and lawn chairs will be permitted.

Whatever you choose to do, be sure to do it safely and always designate a driver if alcoholic beverages will be enjoyed. Have fun and Happy 4th of July!
