SOUTHERN PINES, NC – DECEMBER 29, 2011 – The Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) is pleased to announce the first Mobile App for visitors and locals to use as an on-the-go guide for information on golf, dining, activities, accommodations and much more. Mobile apps allow a consumer to access information, web sites, maps and other details on their mobile devices. The App is aptly named, “Visit Pinehurst NC”. The “Deals” section highlights up-to-the-minute money-saving offers at locations throughout the area, and the “Events” category tells you what’s happening around town. Search by category, subcategory, proximity or alpha order. The App is available for free in the Apple store and Android market.
“Visit Pinehurst NC” was developed by Pace Communications for the Convention & Visitors Bureau to augment the 2012 Official Visitors Guide, which is now available in print and digital versions. Soon to be launched, the upgraded destination web site, www.homeofgolf.com, will enhance consumers experiences in researching, planning, and enjoying their time at the Home of American Golf®.
CVB President and CEO, Caleb Miles emphasizes, “Today’s travelers expect information delivered to them wherever they are. With this new destination App they have exactly what they need to enhance their travel experience here. It’s easy to use, free, and comprehensive. We expect it to be immensely useful and popular!” For more information about the App, contact Claire Phillips, CVB Director of Marketing, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
