DirtWorks Pottery

“Dan Triece started in 1986 in Kannapolis, NC. Nephew Ben Vanpelt joined DirtWorks in 2006 as a second generation potter. “Now we are good for 30 more years.””

DirtWorks produces work in 16 different colors, styles and techniques. Pieces vary in size from 1/2 inch to 4 ft. Techniques include: wood fired, stoneware, salt glaze, majolica, raku, pit fired and horse hair. You can always see someone at work through the workroom window at our showroom/gallery. In addition to their own work they proudly show the work of other N.C. potters who are former students, teachers, and long time friends. ‘There is always something new and different as we and others progress in our ceramic journey’.
