Holiday events abound inside the Sandhills, so get your bells on and support these local events…
For holiday tree lightings this week, head to Aberdeen on Thursday, December 2nd. There will be special performances, along with a visit from Santa. The Christmas tree will light up at 6:15 at the Union Station Railroad Museum.
On Friday night, December 3rd, enjoy the holiday tree lighting ceremony in the Village of Pinehurst. The event takes place from 5 to 7:30pm with the tree lighting at 6:30pm at Tufts Memorial Park.
On Saturday, head to Robbins for their holiday craft market. The event will feature more than 30 local vendors and runs from 9am to 3pm in downtown Robbins.
Want to attend a holiday Christmas parade? There are plenty in the Sandhills in the coming days. On Saturday, Dec. 4th the Cameron Christmas Parade starts at 10am. Or, head to Southern Pines for their annual holiday parade at 11am. Look for more parades on Dec. 7th in Carthage, Dec. 11th in Aberdeen and Dec. 18th in Vass.
On Sunday, Dec. 5th, cap off the weekend by checking out some cool cars in the Village of Pinehurst for the monthly Sandhills Motoring Cars and Coffee gathering. The event happens from 9 to 11am.
