The 73rd U.S. Junior Amateur Championship is coming to The Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst, July 17 – 24, 2021. Hundreds of volunteers are needed to give these elite Junior golfers a great experience. The majority of volunteers are needed July 17 – 21, 2021.
Past U.S. Junior Amateur champions include: David Duval, Gary Koch, Hunter Mahan, Johnny Miller, Charlie Rymer, Jordan Spieth, Kevin Tway and Tiger Woods.
A young Webb Simpson (pictured) played in the 2003 U.S. Junior Amateur and was very appreciative of the dedicated volunteers that week. This year, Webb will serve as the honorary chairman of the event.
“As a past participant in the U.S. Junior Amateur, I’m quite familiar with how important volunteers are in the administration of all the details of a USGA championship,” said 2021 U.S. Junior Amateur Honorary Chairman Webb Simpson, the 2012 U.S Open champion and a quarterfinalist in the 2003 U.S. Junior Amateur. “Players value the work of the volunteers and know that they love golf. As a volunteer, you’ll become intimately involved in the Junior Amateur and we’re sure you’ll have a blast doing it. We hope you will join us.”
As part of the $75 Volunteer Package, volunteers will receive:
- Apparel pieces specifically designed for the 2021 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship.
- Credential valid for the entire championship.
- Meal voucher for each assigned shift.
- The Volunteer Package will consist of a custom designed Cutter & Buck golf shirt, choice of headwear, free round of golf (including cart fee) at CCNC and participation in a Volunteer Recognition Day.
The types of volunteers needed include: Marshals/Forecaddies, Standard Bearers, Status Boards, Supply and Ecology, Evacuation, Volunteer Services, Practice Range and more!
