Here’s what’s happening in the Sandhills this weekend…
On Saturday, November 6th, Hatchett Brewing Company celebrates its second anniversary in Southern Pines. The all-day event will feature a series of bands, food trucks and activities, including ax throwing and small brewery tours.
Also, on Saturday from noon until 4pm, explore downtown Aberdeen during the 10th annual Holiday Open House and Bread Bowl Walking Tour. The event is a fun – and free – competition to determine the best bread bowl filling in Moore County.
On Sunday, November 7th, the Southern Pines Chili Cookoff at O’Donnell’s Pub in downtown Southern Pines. The tasting event is from noon to 3pm. Tasting tickets are $10 in advance and $16 on event day. Proceeds support Special Forces 62, a local non-profit supporting U.S. Special Forces and their soldiers. Look for tickets on EventBrite.com.
Also, on Sunday, stop by Southern Pines Brewing Company’s brewery location from 11am to 4pm for the 3rd semi-annual Pop Up in the Pines. Browse more than 70 vendors, along with food trucks, entertainment and even a visit from Santa.
And now through December 18th, visit the Campbell House in Southern Pines as the Judson Theatre Company presents an art exhibit featuring works of Martha Dodd, Morgen Kilbourn and Meridith Martens. Gallery hours are from 9am to 5pm. For more details, go to MooreArt.org.
