This weekend, enjoy the first days of fall with a feast of fun things to do in the Sandhills…

The Southern Pines Growler Company and Railhouse Brewery in Aberdeen will host Oktoberfest celebrations on Saturday, Sept. 25th. Both locations will feature special menu items, and of course, seasonal suds to enjoy. The Fayetteville Bavarian Brass Band will perform at Railhouse from 2-6pm, but that event runs until midnight.

If you love Fall and cider, James Creek Cider House is the place to be for their Summer Gold Release weekend. Celebrate on Saturday and Sunday and enjoy a solid variety of food truck fare to pair with the ciders.

If you love food, head to the Gilliam McConnell airport in Carthage on Saturday for the town’s Firefighter Association food truck rodeo. The event runs from 5-10 pm, so bring a blanket, a chair and a hearty appetite for a good cause.

And on Sunday, Sept. 26th cap off your weekend with another Come Sunday Jazz Brunch at the Weymouth Center in Southern Pines. The event is from 11:30 am to 2 pm and with music from the Carrie Marshall Quintet and food from 195 American Fusion. Make your reservation and purchase tickets at weymouthcenter.org.
Get out and enjoy the first fall weekend in the Sandhills!
