Party for the Pine

Join the celebration for the oldest known living longleaf pine in the world, right here at Weymouth Woods Sandhills Nature Preserve.
This year the Old Tree turns a big 475 years young!
> Play games, see live animals, take a guided hike out to give the Old Tree a birthday hug, and (weather permitting) witness a live demonstration prescribed burn!
> Learn all about the unique longleaf forest ecosystem and the role that fire plays in keeping it healthy as you talk with conservation experts and wildlife educators.
> Shop local arts and crafts vendors!
